Most people would think I am crazy when they hear that the first word that entered my head when I heard that you has passed was “awesome”. Someone could misconstrue that to mean that I didn’t like you. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I thought “awesome” because that was the life you led. It was awesome.
To have managed to raise us with love and compassion, pushing through a seemingly impossible amount of shit, stress, and never ending obstacles you managed what can only be described as “grace”. There is no substitute for a better teacher than being the person you would like others to be. You did that.
Now, even though I have absolutely no idea where you are, I know that at least a part of you is inside every word I speak, thought I think, and love I give. And for that, I am eternally grateful.
So, thank you for fighting against the constant wave of pain and struggle that this Earth is famous for. Thank you for being there and listening. Thank you for showing us what realistic love looks like.
